The Brief & Engagement
Adrian McGregor, founder and Chief Design Officer of McGregor Coxall and creator of the Biourbanism model, approached COG Marketing to extend the reach of his book and thought leadership. The goal was to translate complex, forward-thinking ideas about sustainable urban design into a digital experience that could engage a global audience while also facilitating direct-to-consumer sales.
The Client
Adrian McGregor is an internationally recognised landscape architect, city futurist, and author. He has extensive experience in urban design, masterplanning, and environmental markets. His Biourbanism framework offers a new approach to resilient and sustainable cities, combining practical insight with visionary thought leadership.
Our Approach
COG Marketing developed a dynamic eCommerce platform using WordPress WooCommerce, integrated with 3PL logistics to streamline global sales. We complemented this with a tailored social media strategy that leveraged the book’s content to create ongoing engagement and thought leadership across channels.
Every element-from site architecture to content flow-was designed to highlight the intellectual rigor and global relevance of Biourbanism, ensuring the platform resonated with both practitioners and enthusiasts of urban design.
Digitally, we established LAWN’s marketing infrastructure – setting up accounts, analytics, content systems and campaign strategy to support launch and ongoing growth. A dedicated menu photoshoot and content creation program provided high-quality assets aligned with the brand’s tone and audience.
To support operations and customer experience, we implemented SevenRooms for bookings and eCommerce functionality, ensuring smooth reservation management and data capture from day one.
Impact & Value
The digital launch amplified Adrian’s vision, allowing Biourbanism to reach a global audience efficiently while creating a professional, cohesive online presence. The book’s launch event at Sydney’s Calyx Botanical Gardens was met with standing ovations, followed by a reprint due to strong demand. The platform and supporting digital strategy continue to reinforce the reach and influence of Adrian McGregor’s work, positioning him and Biourbanism at the forefront of sustainable city design discourse.
